This video is from my “places that are visually and acoustically beautiful so let’s get the flute out” series! A chance encounter with an empty church in the middle of nowhere in Picardie, northern France, on one of my many French trips in my van
This is my rather popular bass flute video recorded at a concert in my house some years ago, with pianist Jack Pescod who liked to improvise from scratch at performances. You can hear the places where an idea ran out and we shifted around each other finding the next idea – I love working like this!
This is my jazz trio, in performance at Magoos in Henley on Thames, playing my favourite tune!
Here is the Annie Parker Collective! This is my special project. I write the material and we work on it together to give it our own sound and touch of magic 😉 This is also my lesser U-bend, the alto flute…
Here’s the Annie Parker Trio playing a Miles Davis number, All Blues, at Magoos in Henley. The wonderful intro is provided by bassist Marianne Windham, and there’s some cracking playing from Simon Cook on piano. And a chance to get the bass flute out again!
This is a demo I put together to give an idea of what to expect, and what sort of music I play, if you book me with a quartet, or a trio or duo, for your venue or event
Here is another demo which gives an idea of the sound of a flute and guitar, various genres – a lot of variety and pizzazz, especially when the guitarist is Stuart Hall!
